Successful Management of a Symptomatic Vallecular Cyst in an Adult: A Case Report

In adults, vallecular cysts are usually asymptomatic but can present with respiratory and gastrointestinal manifestations. A 45-year-old man presented a four-month progressive history of dysphonia, dysphagia to solid, snoring, choking, apnea, aspiration. On examination, the patient was vitally stable no remarkable local physical examination. Flexible nasoendoscopy, computer tomography, subsequent micro-laryngoscopy revealed non-pulsating, non-congested 3 x 2 cm cyst obscuring vocal cord visualization. The removed completely by cold hot techniques sent for biopsy. This case report presents successful management symptomatic through electrocautery.
